A wonderful, experience with this father and son team.
Newtown is a small village sometimes referred to as Newtown in the Willows. It is contained within the Ise valley. The name Newtown is said to have meant new farm or settlement.
Newtown’s St Faith’s church is a Grade II listed building however it has been transferred from a sacred building to secular use. It was run as an educational centre for a while but sadly closed back in 2018 and a local registered charity has decided to sell it on.
There is also a dovecote (a structure intended to house pigeons and doves) northeast of the old church. This structure is Grade I listed and has been reported as being, and I quote “an outstanding dovecote, exhibiting craftmanship of the highest quality” Definitely one to look out for!
